Liscannor Minor Club
Liscannor have joined forces with our neighbours in Kilfenora and also Michael Cusacks in 2009 to form a group team from under 12 right up to minor level.
This alliance came about as a result of a meeting of the clubs in North Clare in early 2009. We all felt that we are falling behind other teams because our players are not exposed to the highest level of football in our underage teams due to lack of numbers. We in Liscannor would not have been able to field underage teams if this goup team was not formed.
It was decided that Liscannor/Kilfenora/Michael Cusacks would form a group team while Ballyvaughan/St Breckans did likewise.
Our under 16'and under 12's are already into their seasons while our under 14's and minors are also beginning preparations for the year ahead.
This alliance has given a new focus to our underage players and mentors and is giving all our players an opportunity to play at the highest level possible which will only benefit our teams going forward.
Please follow our teams fixtures in the Clare People/Champion and this website and come out and support our team's whenever you can.
Matches will alternate between Liscannor Kilfenora and Carron so we will have plenty of opportunities to support our teams. |
